The town of Botwood is pleased to announce the hiring of Tim Best in the role of Assistant Chief Administrative Officer. Tim’s first day on the job was Monday, April 21st.
Tim brings 24 years of operational experience to the role. Early in his career he worked for a non-profit organization promoting the skilled trades and technology fields to secondary and post-secondary students as first choice career options. He went on to join the energy sector in Alberta and spent more than 20 years in various leadership roles contributing to the operational excellence on some of Alberta’s leading industrial service providers.
In 2022 the call of home brought him back to Newfoundland and in 2024 he and his wife decided to put down roots in Botwood. When asked why he choose Botwood he answered “It just felt like home. This is simply a beautiful town with a rich, proud history and bright future. I cannot be a part of the history but I want to be a part of Botwood’s future.”
